Mandate
Manages import-export licensing, certificates of origin, trade facilitation, and oversees compliance with international trade agreements affecting cross-border commerce.
Key Functions
- 1Issue import and export licenses and permits
- 2Issue Certificates of Origin for Lao exports
- 3Manage controlled goods import-export lists
- 4Administer trade facilitation measures at border crossings
- 5Implement trade agreement provisions (ASEAN, WTO, RCEP)
- 6Monitor cross-border trade flows and statistics
- 7Coordinate with Customs Department and border agencies
- 8Manage the Lao Trade Portal (LTP)
- 9Produce foreign trade statistics reports
