On 28th May, the 2nd the One District, One Product (ODOP) fair officially opened with more than 160 booths of ODOP products and products of model families from nine districts of Vientiane Capital.

“The trade fare is being held at the Lao-ITECC in Vientiane Capital, from 28 May to 1 June with the aim of promoting and increasing the production of ODOP products of high quality according to ODOP standards,” said the Head of Vientiane Commerce and Industry, Mr Berlin Phetchantharath.

The trade fair also aims to develop entrepreneurs and promote the production of potential products in each village and each district in Vientiane Capital to ensure they become competitive businesses that are able to supply products domestically and abroad.

The objective of the fair is also to promote unique products, culture, and tourism service at community, village and district levels, and to promote the exchange of lessons among the business community and promote ODOP products in a sustainable manner as well as to welcome International Children’s Day and Arbour Day on June 1.

The trade fare drew over 160 booths displaying ODOP products produced in nine districts in Vientiane Capital, and the provinces of Savannakhet, Saravan, Borikhamxay and Vientiane.
