The Competition and Consumer Protection training Courses were held in cooperation with Domestic Trade Department which supported by GIZ. The courses were conducted by economic and legal experts from Chiang Mai University. The approach courses were held in two times in two different places.

The first course took place in Vientiane, Lao PDR between7-11 July 2014 chaired by director general of Domestic Trade Department (DTD), Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MoIC), Leuam NHONGVONGSITHI who also be the deputy head of competition law drafting committee. Along with Ms. Sita Zimpel, Technical Advisor to GIZ and relevant government representatives from central and provincial attended. The training course provided basic knowledge on relation of economics, trade competition and implementation of consumer protection of Thai to participants. The second was held in Chiang Mai University, Thailand on 21-25 July 2014 aimed to provide more and more advanced knowledge on importance functions of trade competition law and others issue of trade competition.
