The Lao-Viet Trade Exhibition was officially opened on 3rd July, 2014 in honored co-president openers by Mr Siaosavath  SAVENGSUKSA, Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce of Laos and Mr. Nguyen Kerm Tou, Vice minister of Industry and Commerce of Vietnam. Besides, the representatives of government sector, private sectors, International Organizations and mass media also attended.
The purpose of the exhibition is to promote the commercial and investment cooperation of two countries. Therefore, this will be the great place which creates and provides opportunities for the business sectors of the two countries to exchange information in order to improve their products qualities and providing conditions to find trade partners to gradually widen the commercial base as well as to encourage the business sectors aware of the regional and international policy to prepare for joining the AEC in 2015.
This year the number of attended business units increased by totally 350 rooms, consisting of 230 rooms for Lao business and 120 rooms for Vietnamese business which all included 250 companies from two countries. The number of exhibited products also increased and the products are more types which acceptable by the markets.
