On Monday 5 August at Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Ambassador Stewart recently met with H.E. Mr. Nam Vinhakhet, Minister of Industry and Commerce, to discuss collaboration between the United States of America and Lao PDR on international trade and the country’s accession to multilateral and regional trade organizations.
Ambassador Stewart and Minister Vinhakhet announced an agreement between the two governments for the continuation of cooperation that has been pioneered through the LUNA-Lao project of the past four years. This cooperation will lay the foundations for a modern market economy through enhancing the business and trade enabling environment and improving economic governance for the next five years.
